Went home last weekend,

It was good,

I could move back to the area tomorrow, easily.

but I was there to see some family, including my new Neice ! who is 3 weeks and still only 7lb 3oz ! but she is beautiful !!

I got to see some football,,,,,  hmmm

And I got to see my sister’s new house.

3 weeks old to her, and thats all about the number of walls left, !!

They stripped back the upstairs walls, and discovered lath+plaster, so took out the walls ! then the ceiling needs doing, then the attic, and re-felting of the roof, then all windows need replacing, then the kitchen needs extending,  Oh yeah, the garden then needs some serious attention. !!

may take awhile.

D walked in and said….   ” where’s the furniture ” though she loved the toy duck in the pond !!!

Be nice when it is finished !!  no seriously it will be !!

 

So I had the priviledge, or me dad did or buying me a ticket for Sheffield Wednesday, Vs QPR on Saturday £24 to see the ref win !!

 I KNOW we ALL blame the ref, !

I KNOW we ALL think the ref is biased.

BUT THIS GUY WAS !!!

 How he could miss 3 hand balls, ( 2 blatant penalties) and a string of countless fouls , is Beyond me !!

 Ok so we didn’t get out of the traps for 20 mins, but when we did finally find some confidence, we outplayed them,

 Then an unlucky injury to Simek, and a BAD substitution of JJ, and the game plan collapsed, the last 20mins you could see QPR were going to win,

it may turn out to be a LONG season yet !!

It’s all kicking off over this here Lisbon Treaty,

I’m not sure on the details, having not studied the treaty with a big magnifying glass ! but it looks like basically we give up all social and economic law making powers to Europe

Britain has ALWAYS been a stick in the mud,

Yep we had an Empire once

we lost it

we still THINK we have an empire

we don’t. we are not really a world power.

We have a “special” relationship with America, – depending on their president, and our PM, though lets face it, things have been a little cooler since Reagan and Thatcher, ( bar Blair and Bush of course )

We usually back up America, ( or stand behind our big cousin, shaking a fist and agreeing ) , but then again that is a good thing, you have to back the winning team eh !

 But with Europe….   well, Britain has dragged it’s feet for EVER! we don’t say yes, we don’t say no, we stall….  and stall….   hoping the problem is going to go away,

 I see the advantages of being part of a big block of countries, but I value our individualism, and why should we be dictated too by some faceless beaucrats, who when it comes down to it, do not really like Britain anyway.

  The Tories have now said they will not offer a referendum on Europe, Labour, is under pressure, to offer one, but then again they are under pressure to WIN the next election !  It is time for all cards on the table, As Britain we need to make a decision, yes or no to Europe, lets have all the facts on the table,

AND LET THE PEOPLE DECIDE .

 Or we could just stay as we are and keep floating across the Atlantic.

fire service is striking

The royal mail …  striking but why ? does anyone understand why ??

I am in a union, I feel I need the back up.

But everyone is still wanting more cash and better working rights,

We have been told there is no pay review till next october, with the actual judgement the May after !!

There is a reason, Illusion 1 & 2 were played in our common room on loop for what seemed like years.  I never really tuned again to them .

 Until the advent of Scuzz.Tv and the 100 rock videos to see before you die !   Estranged was number 1 !
