It is true that there is NOWHERE quite the same as home…

 I may have almost lived lived longer in Wales than in Sheffield, but that only goes to  make me feel stronger that sheffield is my true home,

I went home for what was less than 3 days, and yes the place has changed, but the atmosphere has not. Things, places , people, move on , but belonging does not. I know now that at most 4-5 hours and i’m home again, and really that is not too much,

Belonging is something that you can’t always describe, whether it be your place of birth, your family, or standing in a crowd of 24,000 all having the same cause. That is something unique, and worth standing up for. I have a family of my own, and they will Hail wales as their home, that is their right, and something i will always encourage, but it is something of an adoptive home for me,

I.m proud of my roots, that’s something that will never be taken from me.

I think I am finally getting over them, only took 23yrs…

I watched the Sheffield Wednesday vs Southampton game on Saturday,

Etienne Esajas has an incredible workrate, and Hinds is a rock in defence, the sooner the club re-new his contract the better.

 But the overall performance was still poor, you can not sit back on a 1-0 lead and expect to play out 60mins !!

Then again you can only beat what is put in front of you, and Southampton , to be fair, were shocking, Wright phillips, and Euall showed some commitment, but when your keeper kicks only to the half way line, and staight out nearly everytime, it is not a good sign  ( once he managed to get the ball on the stand roof !) – no mean feet!

  On their performance  Southampton may going down with the Dingles !!

One note though which should be congratualted was the impecable minutes silence for the 96 who died 20 yrs ago. It must have felt uncomfortable for the southampton fans walking down that tunnel on the Leppings lane end  on such an anniversary .

  And to see the one season wonder Dalian Atkinson on the pitch before the game, have you still got yer boots we could do with striker who scored for fun !!

Whilst driving back from Sheffield yesterday, I saw the stupid stunt of lowering the speed limit on the M42 , 6 lanes of traffic ( 8 during peak time ) to 20 mph  . 20 for gods sake, with no accidents, incidents, warning, you can imagine the cameras were in overdrive, north side was flashing continuously,

 ENOUGH OF THE CASH COW !!  I agree with “some” placings of speed cameras, but this is just a scheme to get the government some much needed money. It must stop !

D. is the story teller at the moment, she makes up stories at the drop of a hat., usually about Father Christmas,  sometimes not.

 Yesterday she had The Wiggles in her hand, and she had to strap them into her pram, because there were cars on the road, and it was dangerous !!

NUT are asking for a 10% pay rise !!

In the current economic climate, I managed to avoid the last round of redundancies, and agreed to a deferrial on pay review,

Over 2 milliion unemployed, and you ask for a pay rise ???

I try a different cd in the car everyday if I can….

  I found pushed inbetween some non-descript cd’s Tenacious D’s 1st album, wish I can take or leave at the best of the times, but the songs ” tribute” and “wonderboy” are genius….

Why have I never played this in the last 5 yrs ???
